KIRKUS REVIEW

The ingredients of the ideal circus book are there -- the exploration before the circus begins, the circus itself, the play circus afterwards. There is nothing particularly original. And the pictures are few and far between. But there hasn't been a circus story book for some time, so this may fill a need, although it isn't as good as it ought to be.
