MODERN AMERICAN ENGINEERS

Well known for other such collections of biographical sketches, among them Modern Americans in Science and Invention and American Women of Nursing. Edna Yost writes in an easy, not too emotional, reportorial style, this time of engineers. Robert Doherty of the Carnegie Institute, Vannevar Bush of ""mechanical brain"" and atomic science fame, Arthur Ernest Morgan of TVA are among her choice of twelve. As the study of society through the lives of its wielders and a very interesting material about engineering, this will make good junior-high reading.
