The first volume, in the familiar photo-illustrated format, of the new Emergence of Man series. An introductory summary of the distinguishing physical characteristics of ""the paragon of Animals"" is followed by a cursory review of evolution from the emergence of life, a chapter on dinosaurs and their discoverers, a system-by-system analysis of evolutionary development culminating in man, and a glance into some animal ""mirrors of man's society."" So far, it looks like a rerun.
