TIM IN DANGER

Another star to Ardizzone for bringing us still more adventures of brave, capable young Tim and Charlotte. Distressed when their friend Ginger runs away to sea, they follow him to the waterfront and are themselves hired aboard a cargo ship- Charlotte to help with the cooking and Tim as a chore boy. Inevitably, they run into a storm, ram another ship, rescue its survivors and find among them, Ginger. The author's simple words and gusty, hale drawings put the melodrama just where it should be.
