KIRKUS REVIEW

Sandy and Peter set off into the Canadian wilderness to visit Sandy's uncle who operated a trading post. En route they rescue French Charlie who has been attacked and robbed by desperado Trampis, wanted by the Mounties for fur and other thefts. The persistence of the boys plus his own carlessness in starting a forest fire brings Trampis to justice and the boys a substantial reward. Familiar material narrated with little conviction.
