TEMPTRESS RETURNS

For all those who followed Mr. Allcard's voyage across the Atlantic in Single-Handed Package here is the story of the Temptress' return trip to Plymouth, England. Here again, in a kind of a log form, are the solitary sailor's adventures and reflections. In hurricane season he tosses in one gale after another, suffers near-destruction several times, but makes port in the Azores. Sailing on, he discovers a twenty-four-year-old stowaway has clambered aboard at Honta. Despite his misgivings she proves spunky and companionable. Together Otilia and Edward take a look at Africa, then she flies on to England and he continues his journey until he too arrives at the Temptress' home port. In conclusion, the sailor gives advice to other single-handed skippers.
