KIRKUS REVIEW

Good nature books, slightly fictionized, but not enough to spoil their authenticity. In LASIUS there is more deliberate introduction of incident, as the factual story of life within the ant hill is told. CHILDREN OF THE GOLDEN BEE is a fascinating account of the span from May swarming to winter hibernating in the hive.
