Types of dogs, their history, training, two-and four-footed resemblances, the campaigns that have made dog the master of man, dog shows, weekends with dogs, beagling, etc., etc., are the targets for a British blow-off. There are some verses to underline the thesis here and Searle's squirly, lugubrious drawings are a delight -- for those who have no best friends in this area. Amusing.
