Affirming that the world of industry is both ""fascinating and decent"" Edward Hodnett, a businessman and author of The Art of Problem Solving and Which College for You? goes on to deal, very specifically and practically, with the organization of a typical industry and with the jobs a young person is likely to find in a modern corporation. Probably the most valuable section of the book is the author's explanation of the jobs which are open to young men and women after various levels of schooling and/or preparation and just what they can expect (at any level) during their first few years. A basically sensible (within a framework of general optimism) addition to Harper's series of vocational books.
