KIRKUS REVIEW

Readers who enjoyed Adventure on Ghost River (report Jan. 1960) will be interested in watching the same team, teenagers Cliff and Sam, combat new hazards, both environmental and within their own ranks, as they cavort on Sunset Trail, western Canada. Expert skiers, they attempt difficult rescue missions, save the life of an illustrious doctor and nab a criminal. An attack by a wild wolf pack is depicted authentically and how Cliff and his team stave off the bloody beasts results in the most spine tingling episode of the story. The style is clipped and hard hitting, with a generous sprinkling of slang, and a minimal accent on literary value. The recreation of the snow covered Sunset Trail is quite good.
