NO LAMB FOR SLAUGHTER

An integral part of American history is our labor movement, but the literature it has produced (in non-fiction) is either dry as dust or written from a position of partisan extremity. These readable memoirs of Edward Lamb span a long and full life in Labor. He writes from his angle, but that is the privilege of a memoirist. His activities have gone from the bottom to the top in union activities (many national figures and national affairs, here) and he brings a likeable verve to his subject.
