MICHAEL THE UPSTAIRS DOG

A ladder to the backyard seems the solution to Edward's isolation until he invites all the neighborhood dogs for a climb; then they make a shambles of Mr. and Mrs. Wood's apartment, bring down the wrath of the landlord, and Mrs. Wood gets the house in the country that she wanted for Edward all the time. A pack of dogs scrambling up a specially built ladder is about all the humor there is here, and that's not worth the trouble.
