A slim volume of light modern verse, most of the contents of which has appeared in current periodicals, -- the New Yorker, Harper's Bazaar, the Atlantic Monthly, the American Mercury. Fenton's pen is light, ironic, skillful. All the poems have a somewhat bitter modern note, -- the first half dealing with themes of civilian life, the second with themes of military life. Though not important, this is a well-made collection of verses.
