A contemporary crime file of not quite headline- but rather incidental interest, which revives and warms up a dozen or so cases of recent vintage. There is the Riviara second story man who man off with some $90,000 worth of jewelry at a house-party of celebrities; Sophie Anargeros, who left home at fifteen, and whose hitch-hiking holdups ended in murder; the psychotic ex-G.I. who killed a girl on a college campus; the German war bride, Randl, whose husband was murdered by a lover, and the Scandinavian Randi whose husband to-be almost met the same fate; the plane crash in Quebec, caused by a wife-encumbered jeweller; meek Max Keller, whose death took three years to solve; etc. etc. There's nothing very notorious, or for that matter noteworthy, about any of these, and the handling which is matter of fact is also mediocre.
