THIS MAN LA GUARDIA

The dynamic career of the Mayor of America's largest city is traced from its beginnings in the Spanish-American War, to his political triumphs in New York. The book tells in detail his record as aviator with the Italian Army during the World War, as well as his ten year battles, almost single-handed, against prohibition. The weakness of the book, for general consumption, lies in its obvious campaign propaganda. The author has missed a chance to create a real personality by his colorful temperament.
