KIRKUS REVIEW

A scientific presentation of planned parenthood making accessible medical information not only on the control of conception, but also on its stimulation. The book here makes its pioneer contribution. In a consideration which is economic, physical, and psychological, Dr. Rock covers the knowns, the unknowns, of contraceptive measures; infertility, its causes and treatments; many misconceptions about sex practices and habits, sterility, birth, compatability, etc. Much of Dr. Rock's concern is with lack of facilities for proper information and treatment; the doctors, too few and too expensive for the average man; the limitations of the overworked hospital clinic; the inadequacies of the drugstore ""Doc""; the need for nationwide birth control clinics and public health.....A book to use in those libraries where there is a special shelf of books for parents, hence the duplication of the report in this section.
