HANDBOOK FOR SOCIAL AGENCY ADMINISTRATION

A definitely canalized appeal, this is exactly what its title indicates,- a handbook which should prove of constructive value for reference in social agencies, where matters of organization are undergoing evolution into the more businesslike setup demanded now by foundations, businesses, big donors and so on. The author as Director of Community Chest in Bridgeport, speaks from experience. He discusses constitution and bylaws, composition of Board of Directors, committees, officers, executive staff, office equipment, personnel policies, routing and transportation of workers, accounting, budget making, statistics, purchasing department, public relations, financial administration, coordination with other local agencies. The stuff is there- but the format looks like a textbook, with its topical heads, its questions and answers.
