KIRKUS REVIEW

Libraries and schools are always hunting material with special holiday stories. This book has a double value, in meeting that need with original stories which can be used for class reading and story telling, but also stories of the sort that third and fourth graders will enjoy reading to themselves. Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving are represented by three stories each, emphasizing different aspects, secular and religious. There is little known secular material here of real value -- and the modern note gives it broader appeal.
