MY CAMERA ON POINT LOBOS

Text and pictures by the famous West Coast photographer in a handsome, if not too durable, outsize volume. Once again this is highly stylized still life photography, in which an artist's eye has caught the dramatic patterns of natural forms, trees, rocks, pool, shore, forest and forces of nature. The effectiveness of the pictures is heightened by the use of generous margins. The excerpts from his daybook, at the end of the book, reflect Weston's artistic credo. A collector's item rather than a general sale possibility; the plastic tension binding permits the removal of pages for framing or display.
