TALIFER

Yes, fiction -- just as Alice Duer Miller's narrative verse, FORSAKING ALL OTHERS, is fiction. A modern triangle, with a doctor as deus ex machine thrown in good luck:- Althea, whose world crashed because Talifer married another; Talifer, who thought he wanted Peace and couldn't bear it when he got it; Karen, unbelievably beautiful and incredibly cold. Blank verse seems singularly inappropriate as a medium, and the result seems merely a tour de force.
