KIRKUS REVIEW

Chester Bryan returns to his home in Old Harbor, Conn., to practice law and learns that he is the subject of rumor when Connie, who jilted him for Andy Ware, takes more than a little notice of him. Andy's disappearance, and later death, the doings of a newcomer, and some hocus pocus about Andy's business ventures, winds up in Connie's murder and a tight spot for Chet. Local skullduggery here.
