This is a one volume edition of three books formerly published as These Shared His Passion, These Shared His Cross and These Shared His Power. As all three books deal with the last forty days of Jesus' life on earth, it is appropriate to bring them together in one volume so that they may be more easily available for Lenten reading. The three parts of the book consist of character studies of individuals who shared the passion, cross and power of our Lord. Among the persons whom Dr. Poteat describes and analyzes for us are Mary and Martha, Thomas, Judas, Simon Peters, the two malefactors, the centurion, Mary of Magdala and Saul of Tarsus. The incidents in which the characters appeared are reconstructed, imaginatively enlarged upon, and thoughtfully interpreted. This is a good book for Lenten reading especially for liberal Protestants.
