KIRKUS REVIEW

Mr. Larsen who wrote Men Who Changed the World- a group of biographies of famous inventors- tackles the problem of explaining the elements of radar. Surveys of the function and elements of radar, its role in WW II, its waves, details of its many uses at sea and in the air and in such occupations as weather forecasting and astronomy make up the framework of the book, in addition to which there are suggestions for radar training. His approach is British, drawing in large part on English ships and harbors, the London air blitz, as exemplary material.
