The two authors of this book are both priest-counselors. In that capacity, they present a critical analysis of the psychological development of the seminarian from his entry into the seminary until ordination in, the light what will be the psychological circumstances of the ordained priest and what will be his requirements. In effect, this work represents an effort to outline a constructive and practical program for the guidance of seminary authorities. It should find a warm welcome among those authorities, as well as among religious superiors, as a clear-sighted and intelligent step forward in an area where progress has been at once desperately needed and exasperatingly slow.
