KIRKUS REVIEW

This book consists of a series of reflections on the intimacy of the relationship between the liturgical life and the spiritual progress of the religious. It is obviously slanted almost wholly toward the woman religious, as is made cl both by the author's choice of material and by his frequent lapses into the bole and allegory of a bygone age which, for some forgotten reason, priests to be the proper idiom for addressing conventual audiences. Despite that and despite the superabundance of extraneous quotations which often serve to rather than to complement the author's material, there is much in this work that the patient reader will find of value.
