How the publisher could have convinced Mrs. Rose to write this candid testimonial that reads with the persuasive impact of a Sunday missal in a synagogue is beyond explanation. Her son Murray was the first swimmer to win a distance swim in two successive Olympics, the first Olympic competitor to win three gold medals at the age of seventeen and the first to break the eighteen minute barrier in the 1500-meter swimming marathon. And he was a cross between Hercules and Adonis, loved Greek philosophy and was modest. How was this possible?
