A basic text in Nevada history. It deals with the geography and physical history of the state, with the Indians who first inhabited it, the coming of the white man, exploration of Fremont and others, early settlement, ranching, mining, other industries, their growth and present status, political history, etc., etc. Very complete and illustrated with numerous maps and photographs. It is, however, static, and pretty dry for general reading.
