KIRKUS REVIEW

A great wind crashing down from the north, wo ucky Bear from his winter nap. Instead of cuddling down beside his mother and going back to sleep he stole forth into the snow, and soon was lost in the forest. Two hunters found him and taught him to ride a bicycle. But when they took him to the carnival to show off his tricks, Bucky fell asleep. Back to the forest the hunters took him and all that summer when the other little bears were having fun fishing and swimming, Bucky was too sleepy to join in the fun, and could only sit on a log and yawn and dose. Nursery age brothers and sisters will want this picture story book read aloud again and again. Beginning readers will be proud that they can handle it themselves.
