KIRKUS REVIEW

A goodly portion of this season's young heroes seems to be involved in a chase for hidden riches, and in this story, set in Kentucky, the cache turns out to be in a great cave equipped with an underground river. Martin Gillis had been trained to be a ""spelunker"" explorer of underground caves -- and his spelunking comes in mighty handy when he discovers a map and cods message which seemed to point to a hidden treasure. Martin and two other boys finally uncover the secret after a hunt and a tussle with the competition. Forthright action.
