KIRKUS REVIEW

Newsworthy dog interest material presents all types of canine curiosities,- a motley collection of mutts. Here are caddies, bloodhounds, foster mothers, travelling dogs, hero dogs, fishing dogs, Seeing-Eye dogs; Rex who hustled nickels for a juke box in an Arkansas bistro; Bosco, who went from Tennessee to Arkansas to find his family; Gyp, who for ten years, came back for Christmas Day only; Carburetor, who played a mean guitar; Lulabelle, the chaplain's dog who deserted him for a soldier with no arms, etc. No particular distinction in presentation, but distinctive dogs for an inveterate audience of dog lovers, of all ages.
