KIRKUS REVIEW

Dark Entry"", old southern estate bedizened with magnolias, family portraits, and faithful retainers is left by a will oversight to Shirley, instead of to young Wayne to whom it rightfully belonged. Shirley arrives with a common, strident mother and faces many local antagonisms but by the close loses ""Dark Entry"" to Wayne only to get it back through marriage to him. Uh-huh and ho-hum.
