A HORSE FOR PETER by Eleanor F. Brown

A HORSE FOR PETER

By

Pub Date: April 24th, 1950
Publisher: Messner

Peter's family could not afford a horse, and when a beautiful black stallion is brought to the farm next door, Peter, crippled by an accident in which he rescued a little girl from death, transfers all his affection for horses to this one animal. How Peter is responsible for the horse's sale and how the townspeople help Peter make an implausible but pleasant tale. Peter's family are understanding and generous, and Peter is a model boy in all respects - perhaps too much so. However with the plenteous information about Tennessee Walkers, horse shows, and adoring descriptions of the black stallion, Peter's precious nobility should be no hindrance to enthusiastic reading for horse lovers.
