The miniature size of this rhymed story poem by a favorite writer for children proves that a book need not be imposing to achieve a memorable place. Read aloud, the delightful rhythms are ideal for the poignant description of the lovely old lady who makes room in her humble shack for all creatures in need and then in turn is given room herself beyond Saint Peter's gates. The soft classical quality is maintained in Edward Ardizone's tiny black and white drawings. A poem to memorize.
