LAURIE AND COMPANY

Laurie's world is turned topsy turvy when mother decides to leave the little yellow house for an apartment in the city. Laurie is particularly disheartened, because a) she is forced to board Royal her dog with a neighbor and b) she will not be a part of the children's toy store project. There are a few compensations however. Aunt Augusta's colorful remnant pile provides material for Laurie's sewing, and her faithful pooch finds his way to the apartment. Though Laurie is slowly adjusting to her new way of life, she is overjoyed when mother announces a permanent return to the yellow house. Laurie's homemade stuffed animals fill the wooden toy store and make appropriate the name the children select --""Laurie and Company"". A peaceful little story written in many episodes is surprisingly filled with crisis and resolution and most significant -- realistic childlike reactions to them. Miss Lattimore's entourage of little girls won't be disappointed.
