KIRKUS REVIEW

A simple statement of our First Lady's creed of democracy, her belief in the capacity of our country to accept the challenge and recognize the need for finding a spiritual basis for the democratic way of life. If human beings, she says, can be changed to fit a Nazi or Fascist or Communist pattern, surely we should not lose heart at the thought of changing human nature to fit Democracy. We must recognize different standards of success. We must make sacrifices. We must find faith. This book will give young people the impetus and the measuring rod they need.
