WITHIN THE GATES OF OXFORD

The story of a twelve-year-old girl and her nine-year-old brother in Oxford in the time of Queen Elizabeth. They meet Sir Walter Raleigh, and their father, at Raleigh's request, carves a beautiful box which they themselves, in Raleigh's absence, present to the Queen when she comes to Oxford. A little too saccharine and ""costume--y"", though a fair picture of Elizabethan times. Girls will like it better than boys will.
