THE WILD PASTURE

The book is too unreal and too pretty-pretty for my hard-boiled taste, perhaps. But it seems to me that the casual way in which a little girl runs away from home, spends the night in a wild pasture, apparently feels no fear, and is apparently forgotten by her parents scarcely makes a credible story. And the delicate fragility of color and drawing in the pictures by Weda Yap are equally unreal.
