KIRKUS REVIEW

A fairy tale fitted into a realistic pattern of today. Two children meet a little man on a starfish who gives them a fairy boat and a wishing rhyme, which transports them to a magic island. There, on successive holiday Saturdays, they have adventures in somewhat modern vein. It's not quite convincing enough to carry one over into the spirit of make-believe.
