Good bedtime material, with short short stories (one page each with charm-full page illustrations by Grace Norcross accompanying each story). Everyday events about little boys and little girls and their adventures in the park, playing with squirrels, with rabbits, visiting the zoo, helping at home and so on. Format and content would indicate primer value, but vocabulary, size of type and page layout are too difficult for first readers. Better as reading aloud material for four to six.
