KIRKUS REVIEW

This was an inspiration -- and the end result is all one could ask. Too often the person living alone lacks the imagination and the self-starter which are necessary in combination to make ""cooking for one"" anything but a chore. Here's the combination, brought down to practical levels of equipment, shopping, meal planning, and recipes. The problems of quantities and economy and variety are squarely faced. And the menus and recipes afford ample stimulus to jaded appetites. Lots of good ideas and sound advice.
