KIRKUS REVIEW

A light variant of the transcontinental chase in which Dr. Andrew Maclaren, brushed off by the police, investigates the disappearance of the Yugoslav who shares his hotel room overnight in Brussels. The evidence of murder reaches him on his return to England, points to a target of stolen war loot, and a pretty girl and a yawl lead to a cache of gold... Acceptably active, rather than deductive.
