HUBERT, THE TRAVELING HIPPOPOTAMUS

This is the true story of a hippopotamus who in the spirit of the daring explorers of another species traveled hundreds of miles through the villages and cities of South Africa to the incredulous stares and shouts of the inhabitants. Although farmers were angered by the hippo's voracious appetite and zoo keepers attempted his capture, the City Council of Durban issued an edict proclaiming Hubert's right to freedom, earned by his unique and harmless trek. The animal's various adventures are synthesized for small children and his curious tale is sure to win their immediate attention and approval.
