What happens to the displaced animals when their homes are to be destroyed by the construction of a huge shopping center (complete with a simulated, plastic forest for an amusement park)? The Bulldozer Man may be affable and amiable, but he is fully prepared to do his tree clearance job. The animals must depend on their own ingenuity to be rescued. An ant launches the attack--illustrations and text build up the acrobatic foat as the insect crawls up the bulldozer and forces the driver off course. With the time gained, his companions locate a new homestead, the formal gardens of the man responsible for the project. Just desserts finish up this satisfyingly wholesome story. Big, bright, classic pictures, which emphasize the bulldozer, accompany the easy rhymes.
