KIRKUS REVIEW

Sylvia is a spontaneous, generous child of ten who hardly seems to need much training. However she does have to adjust herselt to a household consisting of her maternal grandmother, two aunts and a crippled young male cousin. Cutting through conservative Boston-suburb customs and snobbery, she brings more life and happiness into the lives of her family and neighbors. The talk is stilted to a degree but Miss White has held her young audience for years and can probably continue to do so.
