THE GOOD TIGER by Elizabeth Bowen

THE GOOD TIGER

He was gentle and rather bored at the zoo, so he took himself for a stroll that led to some incidental adventures for the Good Tiger. The humor is of the stuff of The Happy Lion and relies on the straightfaced record of a tiger on the loose among adults and children who accept his presence with absent-minded aplomb. The text is good exercise for beginning readers without having the sound of the heavily managed, controlled vocabulary.
