SIX IMPOSSIBLE THINGS

This harks back to 1955 and The Lark Shall Sing and for all who enjoyed that tale of how the Waynes of Wood Mount threw all into their determination to keep the family together, this will satisfy the curiosity as to how it came out as years marched along. It is an engaging story, delightful summer escape from the pressures of today's living. Against the background of Greenhurst, an English village, where the forthcoming marriage of Miriam Arkwright to an Italian Count involves everyone, from her tyrannical (but still likable) mother to the tradesmen and the children, the Waynes' story provides new ramifications. Gawky, gifted, red-headed Julia returns from studying music in Italy-a young lady of magnetism and charm (unappreciated by her brother Nicholas). And with her return, she manages to mix Nicholas into a brouhaha which leads to mystery, adventure and romance. It's all very frothy fun.
