KIRKUS REVIEW

Simply -- could it be otherwise -- this is about Stacey who comes home to England to marry ""the Frenchie"" Jules whom she had met in Paris; and Jules' grandmother who runs imperious interference; and Nigel whom she had once turned down; and a revenant, the ghost of her grandfather; and a woman's football match which introduces a more modern note in these old parish pump proceedings. . . . For better, for worse, who's to say.
