Head over heart trouble for Miranda, who had always wanted a secure marriage and finds that prospect in Roger, comfortable and considerate, but who can't help loving Bill, reckless and charming. Kloping with Bill, Miranda soon faces debts and desertion as he enlists in the Commandos; his child; and when he is reported dead, marries Roger.
