CRICKET AND THE EMPEROR'S SON

This is the first American edition of a book which appeared in Japan in 1938. Cricket is a Japanese boy with so much respect for the written word that he saves every scrap of paper he sees blowing around on the streets. One day he finds a page torn from an old book, and discovers that as soon as he finishes reading it, it becomes re-written.
