THE LAND HE LOVED: A Story of Old Narragansett

A London street gamin is kidnapped and sold to the American colonies in the early 18th century. He is homesick for the city streets, in spite of the kindness of the doctor and his wife in Rhode Island. The story traces his conversion from a surly street urchin to a lad worthy the name his master and mistress gave him. Sympathetically and realistically done, with plenty of incident and excitement, and a sound emotional content.
